Mandate:

To ensure that adequate financing of the ministry in support of the delivery of quality public health and sanitation services.

The core functions of the department will be:

• Development of investment plans for the ministry
• Development of policies, strategies and actions for financing of the ministry
• Development of long term policy plans for the ministry
• Coordinate the development of annual and medium term expenditure framework for the ministry
• Conduct Operation Research and Surveys in financing and budget execution.
